President
Brett has over 28 years of experience in the real estate industry covering corporate, development, finance, and syndication real estate. Newport Commercial Partners, owned by Brett since 2004, specializes in commercial and industrial property development in Arizona, California, and Hawaii. Over the last 15 years, Brett has specialized in syndication, entitlements, and development for residential, condo and multi-family homes completing over $250 million in transactions as principle. Brett has built a solid reputation for delivering quality projects on time and on budget.
Phil Martens
CFO
Phil is a seasoned real estate executive who served as the US head of operations for Artis REIT for 13 plus years. Phil is a licensed CPA. He brings 20 plus years of cooperate finance expertise to the team.
Armin Martens
Partner
Armin has an impressive 30 years of experience in construction, development, and commercial real estate management. As the founding CEO of Artis REIT, Armin grew Artis from Zero to a $5 billion dollar portfolio of commercial properties in Canada and the USA, over a 15-year period. During Armin's tenure, Artis outperformed the TSX S&P and the TSX REIT Indexes. Over the last 4 years, Armin has partnered with Brett to make an incredible duo for Newport Commercial partners.
